Screw with your job interviewer…

August 2nd, 2008

As always, Smuz works hard to bring you the best in job hunting tools. Here are some hot tips on what not to do. If I was the interviewer, I’d be upset at the hundreds of dollars HR spent on finding these candidates! Unlike Monster, CareerBuilder and HotJobs, at least with Smuz they would have been free!

Schmoozing our way into Australia…

July 31st, 2008

After setting up Canadian and UK pages on Smuz.com - We thought we’d check out “Down Under” and asked Geoff Jennings for his thoughts. Apparently employers in Australia may like the idea of free job post ads and resumes too. While the Smuz Job Board already works in every country under the sun, we are working to publicize it’s existence and set up job feeds to Australian job search engines and aggregators.

In addition to the ever expanding Smuz resume database, recruiters can now also search for resumes from across the web. Located on the same page as regular resume search, it’s another way to help the Smuz recruiter community to find the right talent.

Share your thoughts on jobs…

May 27th, 2008

We just added comments to our job pages so job seekers can read and add their thoughts about any job on Smuz. Like news and blog comments, we hope this will be a powerful tool for web browsers to share their experiences and thoughts about employers as they browse.

Add and View Job Ratings

May 23rd, 2008

Smuz has added a simple 5 Star rating system to every job in our database. Job Seekers can now view and provide feedback on jobs instantly by giving it a rating between 1 and 5 stars. The number of stars displayed is a combined score from all job seekers that have voted.

Bye Bye to Scams, Spams and Fraud

May 19th, 2008

Smuz has just added a button to all job pages for reporting inappropriate job posts. Because we don’t charge for posts, we can be much harder on “waste of time” jobs than other sites. Please do your part by flagging inappropriate jobs with the abuse button when you find one.
